Services. When AEDs are required, they need to be locatable and operable - smartaed technology is designed to ensure that AEDs located near a sudden cardiac arrest event are both these things: accessible and ready to use. Our technology is all about enhancing the survivability of sudden cardiac arrest.

LocationAEDs need to be locatable in real time:
Battery StatusExpected AED battery life ranges between 2 and 7 years, depending on make and model. There is no guarantee, however, that a specific battery will be sufficiently charged to deliver a shock when it is needed. smartaed transmits real-time data, so that changes to the state of the battery are known as they occur.
Defibrillator Chest PadsChest pads used to deliver a shock have "Use By" dates of between 2 and 4 years. They also need to be discarded if used to deliver a shock. Calendar and use-monitoring technology enables smartaed to send maintenance & replacement reminders to responsible individuals (Guardians).
Our Mission:
smartaed aims to enhance the survivability of sudden cardiac arrest by augmenting the capacity of publicly accessible AEDs to strengthen the cardiac chain of survival.
We Promise Best Available TechnologyAll AEDs meeting TGA standards are designed to reliably deliver the required shock for a child or adult in cardiac arrest. Our aim at smartaed is to complement and augment the AED technology with rigorous locational and monitoring applications that match the same high standards.
