When Yellow Wiggle Greg Page suffered a cardiac arrest recently, he was 3-times lucky:
1. There was an AED available
2. The AED was working
3. Someone nearby knew how to use the AED
smartaed can't guarantee there will be someone nearby to use your AED, but we can make it more likely that you'll be able to locate an AED in good working order when it's needed.

About.

smartaed is a collective effort of survivors, their friends & loved ones, and the experts who made the difference, to understand, develop and apply 21st century technology to maximise the survivability of sudden cardiac arrest in NSW, Australia, and around the world.

Established in 2017

Over the last five years, Public Access Automated External Defibrillators (PADs) have been increasingly recognised as a key part of the health infrastructure where communities seek to be "HeartSafe", to increase their resilience to sudden cardiac arrest. smartaed's technology is designed to enhance the community's capacity to respond positively to sudden cardiac arrest events.

Our Goal

PADs, and their correct use in conjunction with CPR, are a demonstrably critical difference between surviving sudden cardiac arrest and becoming another tragic statistic - survival rates increase from 10% to 65% when there is early recognition and alerting of emergency services, application of CPR and use of a defibrillator.

Our Goal is to ensure that AEDs are accessible and operable when they are needed.
